Hematoma Epidural // Epidural Hematoma

Caused by a tear in the middle meningeal artery, which can often bleed rapidly and lead to sudden death. An epidural hematoma is a neurosurgical emergency and needs to be taken care of as fast as possible because the accumulation of blood in between the dura mater and cranium can lead to the building of pressure on the brain tissue.
